Millions of Ukrainians before us made this day possible—creating and defending our language, culture, and dignity, passing down an earnest longing for freedom through generations. Yet it is not only a shared heritage that unites us.

Millions of Ukrainians are making Independence Day possible today and for years to come—and for this, we are immensely grateful. We honor our male and female defenders and remember all who gave their lives for the independence of Ukraine. On this festive day and every day, our strength lies in unity.

We are also grateful to the partners who support Ukraine and work alongside us for a lasting peace. Inspired to build a future together—a free and prosperous European Ukraine.
