On August 23, the team of the Permanent Representation together celebrates the Day of the National Flag of Ukraine.

Today, this banner holds a special power. Ukrainian warriors fight for it. It returns to towns and villages along with freedom. Ukrainians far from home cherish it as a part of their country.

And here, in Strasbourg, in the heart of European institutions, it serves as a reminder of what matters most: Ukraine is, Ukraine fights, Ukraine will be free.

May the blue and yellow always fly over an independent, sovereign, and peaceful Ukraine.
