February 24, 2024 marks the second anniversary of the beginning of Russia's full-scale military aggression against Ukraine. On this day, the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the Council of Europe, together with the Ukrainian community and representatives of foreign missions to the Council of Europe, joined together to honor the memory of Ukrainian heroes during a demonstration in support of Ukraine and a liturgy in the Notre Dame Cathedral in Strasbourg.
During the evening Liturgy, Ukrainian children sang the prayer "Great God, one God, save Ukraine." Their voices, full of faith and hope, reflected the greatness and power of our homeland, which lies in the heart of every son and daughter. These words sounded like a guardian of our land against the enemy and filled every corner of our country with hope and peace.
In the midst of this mournful darkness, the light of national heroism and courage continues to shine, raising the yellow and blue flag of hope and faith in a better future. Let this day be an eternal memory of those who gave their lives for the sake of the future, a better world where everyone can live in peace and security.
