In Strasbourg, the PromoUkraïna association, led by its president, Ms Olga Kostenko, brought the Ukrainian community together for a rally and march. Together, we paid tribute to the heroes who are giving their lives for Ukraine’s freedom, and demonstrated our unity, faith and strength.

Moving words were spoken by Olga Kostenko, Valentyn Skuratovsky, Deputy Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the Council of Europe, and Véronique Bertol, Deputy Mayor of Strasbourg, who quoted Lesya Ukrainka in French:

‘Without hope, I still hope,

I shall live! Away with sad thoughts!’

We are infinitely grateful to the Ukrainian community in Strasbourg for their unity, strength of spirit and tireless support for Ukraine in these difficult times. Ukraine’s true strength lies in its people, and the Strasbourg community is a shining testament to this unbreakable unity.
