On 15 March, a drawing competition “Europe, Peace and Brotherhood for Ukraine” was held in Strasbourg, organized by the postal association Philapostel Bas-Rhin. This event symbolizes the unbreakable ties between Ukraine and our European partners.
The event was also attended by:
The Director of Communications of the Council of Europe, Daniel Höltgen, and the Deputy Mayor of Strasbourg, Véronique Bertholle.
We sincerely thank Saint Madeleine School in Strasbourg and the Classical Lyceum in Zaporizhzhia, which maintain friendly relations.
Children from the Classical Lyceum in Zaporizhzhia and Saint Madeleine School in Strasbourg created drawings about peace and the brotherhood of Ukraine and the European Union. The winning drawing will become a postage stamp in France, which will be presented on 9 May 2024 in honor of Europe Day.
Through the eyes and hearts of our children, we see a future filled with peace and harmony, reflecting international solidarity.
Looking at the works of these young artists, we are not only witnesses to their talent, but also to their deep understanding of the challenges of our time. May these drawings remind us that peace and brotherhood are ideals worth continuing to fight for together.
“I have the honor to be represented on the jury of this competition, and I am looking forward to the release of a stamp with a Ukrainian drawing in France,” noted Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the Council of Europe Borys Tarasyuk in his speech.
