On 16 December 2014, the Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjorn Jagland met with the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Sergiy Kyslytsya. During this meeting, the wide scope of cooperation between Ukraine and CoE, particularly in the area of implementing the long-expected internal reforms in our country and the new Council of Europe Action Plan for Ukraine on 2015-2017 had been profoundly discussed.

The participants of the meeting also discussed the results of the Ministerial OSCE meeting held in Basel (Switzerland, 04-05.12.2014) and the role of both the CoE and the OSCE in promoting a peaceful solution in Ukraine.
