On 1 February, in the center of Strasbourg, near Strasbourg Cathedral, a manifestation was held in support of the initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine “Warmth for Ukraine” / #WarmthForUkraine.

The event was organized by the Franco-Ukrainian cultural association Tour En Sol Association. We express our sincere gratitude to the head of the association, Liudmyla Ilchuk, for her initiative, leadership, and active civic position.

The manifestation became another expression of solidarity with Ukraine in the conditions of Russia’s full-scale military aggression directed against the civilian population and critical infrastructure. Systematic attacks on Ukraine’s energy system leave millions of people without electricity and heat, especially during the winter period, when the need for support is жизненно necessary.

During the event, the following speakers addressed the participants:
— Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the Council of Europe, Mykola Tochytskyi;
— Kateryna Klynovska, Vice-President of the Franco-Ukrainian cultural association TourEnSol;
— Karina Diachenko, student of the University of Strasbourg, representative in Strasbourg of the Paris association Nos étudiants en France;
— Svitlana Spenle, founder of Women 4 Ukraine and Association Moldova Européenne.

In their speeches, the participants emphasized the urgent need for financial support and the transfer of energy equipment, in particular generators, to help Ukrainian communities, hospitals, schools, and critical infrastructure facilities withstand the cold and darkness.
